How you can determine that train is UP OR DOWN, from train numbers?

    In Indian railway every train has a unique 5 number code. We can determine that the train is up or down from train number only.

    Indian railway has a unique 5 digit of number to every express train.

  If the last digit of number is even then, then train is UP. And if the last digit is odd, then train is down.

   Eg. 

       1.  Indrayani Express travels between MUMBAI -PUNE-MUMBAI. On daily basis.

            Train number 22105. It last digit is odd, then this is the DOWN train travel between the MUMBAI TO PUNE.

          Train  number is 22106. Here all digits are same except last digit. As last digit is even then this is UP train travel between PUNE -MUMBAI.
