The No. present on the pole is simply the KM from Chatrapati Shivaji Mahajaraj Termainal (CST)

       So Kalyan railway stations is 53 KM from CST.

        You can also see No. 4 below. In one KM. there
        are multiple pole in between so below number
        mention the intermediate pole between KM

          Kalyan have pole with numbers 53
          & thane have pole with number 33
          So distance between Kalyan & thane is 53-33 =20 KM (approx).
